JOB TITLE: Interior Designer
DEGREE REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 48 months of experience in interior design or closely related field
WORKSITE LOCATION: 3217 N. Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46226
SALARY OFFERED: $70,000–$85,000/year, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, and paid vacation.

POSITION DUTIES:
(1) Utilize CAD software to generate optimized spatial layouts and scale drawings.
(2) Conduct client intake sessions to determine aesthetic preferences, space needs, and overall functionality.
(3) Translate client preferences into visual concepts, including mood boards, color palettes, and theme suggestions.
(4) Draft and present to clients detailed renderings and layout proposals for the space to be designed.
(5) Develop comprehensive design specification sheets for contractors and materials purchasers.
(6) Coordinate with builders to implement design specifications and align schedules and delivery of materials.
(7) Inspect completed design installations for adherence to design specifications and address deficiencies.
(8) Communicate with materials suppliers to procure fixtures, furniture, and other materials; evaluate aesthetic and quality of materials.
(9) Develop and maintain digital files on all projects, with information on drawings, schedules, budgets, and specific instructions.
(10) Undergo continuing education and training to maintain expertise in CAD tools, 3D modeling software, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
(11) Remain current on trends in aesthetics, technologies, furniture, and materials relevant to design of interior spaces.
(12) Engage in post-project discussions with clients to collect feedback and data about improvements for future design projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
(1) advanced-level knowledge of the following design software:
(a) Aspire (CNC machine programming and operating),
(b) AutoCAD,
(c) 2020 Design Live (or Design Flex),
(d) SAP Business One, and
(e) Rhino 3D (3D modeling for furniture and other products) +
(2) advanced-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
